Amrita Pritam

Amrita Pritam is a multifaceted Punjabi writer who contributed to various literary genres, including poetry, short stories, novels, and memoirs. She was honored with the Padma Vibhushan and the Jnanpith Award. Her most celebrated poem is "Ajj Aakhaan Waris Shah Nu" ("Today I Invoke Waris Shah").
